I am a musician and audiovisual artist. My creative practice centres on sound as a therapeutic and connective force. I enjoy using video as a storytelling medium, experimenting with narrative and truth to challenge conventional perceptions. My practice explores the relationship between the audial and the visual, asking questions like: “What role does sound play in an increasingly visual society?”.
I earned an MA in Music: Audiovisual Cultures from Goldsmiths University, where I worked on a large body of work called 'Audiovisual Techniques for Scoring Home Movies.' I continue to conduct research in the music department at Goldsmiths.
Working with young people is a critical piece of my own creative practice. As a teacher and artist, I wish to provide young people with things that I believe were missing from my own arts education, such as agency, expression, and critique. I am passionate about creative education and empowering young people to express their voices within their communities. AEE's mission to reconnect young people to their creative potential is one that resonates deeply with me.
